- The fastest growing FOCUS campus in the history of that organization.Before campus ministry, Sam spent nearly a decade as a Financial Services Executive where he managed multi-state branch operations, $25 million in P&L responsibility, and originated over $175 million in national joint ventures.Sam also spent 20 years in Protestant pastoral ministry where he optimized volunteer systems, led capital campaigns, wrote discipleship curriculum, and provided pastoral counseling. He also worked as a Change Enablement Consultant, guiding nonprofits through workforce transition and process improvement.In formation for Lay Dominican life, Sam is unapologetically Catholic. He holds a Ph.D. in Historical Theology and a Master of Theological Studies from International Seminary, studied at Beeson Divinity School, and holds a B.A. from Samford University. Sam is a Certified Mental Health Coach through the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC).He lives in Tallahassee, Florida, with his wife Amber and their four children. He is also an adoptive and former foster care parent.

Step 1: Pause (Discovery)We start with a conversation, followed by a structured discovery process: interviews with key staff or leadership, a review of existing systems and documents, and (when relevant) a look at financials, org chart, and digital presence. No engagement begins without this step.Step 2: Discern (Plan)You receive a clear, written assessment: what's working, what's not, and a prioritized action plan. This is a deliverable on its own. Some clients stop here and implement independently.Step 3: Move Forward (Implementation)For clients who want a partner through execution, we move into a project engagement or advisory retainer. This includes hands-on work building the systems, programs, or strategies identified in the plan.Step 4: Sustain (Growth)Before an engagement closes, we build the internal capacity and documentation your team needs to sustain the change without ongoing outside help unless you want us to stay on as an advisor.
