Meet Sam

Samuel M. Nunnally, Sr. brings over 25 years of leadership experience at the intersection of faith, finance, and organizational formation, helping churches and nonprofits navigate meaningful change.He serves as a Pastoral Advisor, Organizational Systems Expert, Digital Evangelization Personality, Leadership Coach, and Businessman. Before founding The Selah Group, Sam led Catholic Ministry at Florida State University, turning Catholic Noles into one of the fastest-growing student organizations in the country through major gains in social media reach, student involvement, and annual support.His background also includes nearly a decade as a Financial Services Executive managing multi-state operations and large-scale profit responsibility, plus 20 years in Protestant pastoral ministry focused on discipleship, counseling, and capital campaigns. He later worked as a Change Enablement Consultant helping nonprofits through workforce and process transitions.Currently in formation for Lay Dominican life, Sam holds a Ph.D. in Historical Theology, a Master of Theological Studies, and a B.A. from Samford University, alongside a certification as a Mental Health Coach through the AACC. He lives in Tallahassee, Florida, with his wife Amber and their four children, and has experience as both an adoptive and foster parent.

Process

Step 1: Pause (Discovery)We start with a conversation, followed by a structured discovery process: interviews with key staff or leadership, a review of existing systems and documents, and (when relevant) a look at financials, org chart, and digital presence. No engagement begins without this step.Step 2: Discern (Plan)You receive a clear, written assessment: what's working, what's not, and a prioritized action plan. This is a deliverable on its own. Some clients stop here and implement independently.Step 3: Move Forward (Implementation)For clients who want a partner through execution, we move into a project engagement or advisory retainer. This includes hands-on work building the systems, programs, or strategies identified in the plan.Step 4: Sustain (Growth)Before an engagement closes, we build the internal capacity and documentation your team needs to sustain the change without ongoing outside help unless you want us to stay on as an advisor.
